Pirates, Bradenton have had a long affair to remember (Bradenton Herald)

The love affair between the city and the team began in 1969, when Hall of Fame baseball players Roberto Clemente and Willie Stargell roamed the outfield for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Bradenton was best known for its pristine beaches and delicious citrus products.
