Bravis blazing trail as BEA ‘golf team’ (Centre Daily Times)

WINGATE — When the Bald Eagle Area golf team plays an event there is no trouble getting all the equipment in a Volkswagen. And when a team captain was selected, the voting was quick and simple. You may also have noticed when the CDT ran previews for the Centre County golf teams, the Eagles were missing.

    This past week I was watching “The Natural,” Robert Redford’s classic baseball film. The stylized movie, set in the 1930s, is one of my favorites. It is the story of middle-aged baseball rookie Roy Hobbes. The scene is Wrigley Field in Chicago.
