GEORGE WEBSTER 1945 - 2007: MSU great passes away at 61 (Detroit Free Press)

George Webster, once named “the greatest Spartan in MSU football history,” died Thursday in Houston, reportedly from heart failure. He was 61.

    Power was out for nearly three hours early today in Carmi, apparently due to an equipment failure at the Bradshaw-Jaycee Park substation. A recapitulation of votes cast in one White County precinct Tuesday showed no change from the totals announced Tuesday night. Justin Dartt of Carmi has been named a state FFA proficiency winner.
