Prediction time… yours and mine.

Hey folks, I’m just putting together my CFL divisional predicitions for the Sports section later this week and while I’ve essentially got my mind made up, let’s get some of your thoughts on the record.
You see, one of the things that drives me loopy about doing the prediction thing is how many readers figure they’re carved in stone and then come back at me a month into the season - or three years later - and hold up one of my preseason prognostications as example No. 1,786 as to why I’m an idiot.
Truthfully, we’re all guessing at this point, are we not?
And it’s easy when you wait until August to get a feel for the league before deciding that the Ticats, for example, aren’t going to make the playoffs once they’re 0-8. So register here on our site and get your guesses on record. There will be no prizes involved or lovely parting gifts, but if you get the finish of all eight teams right in your predictions I’ll call on you to help handicap the playoffs.

The beer served at your stadium…

So, what are they serving at your home stadium and for how much? From what I’ve heard, the Ivor Wynne faithful are still stuck with Bud, but the price went up from $6 to $8. Are there any CFL stadiums serving a micro brew or a stout?

Keith Pelley on Tom Wright

Argo president Keith Pelley made a few interesting comments about Tom Wright on Bob McCown’s FAN 590 show this evening. Pelley said that the Ottawa situation was NOT Tom Wright’s fault. Pelley said that it was the CFL Board of Governors that approved the Glieberman ownership for Ottawa and not Wright. Also, Pelley said that, if he were a betting man, he would bet that Wright will want to leave the commissioner’s position at the end of the season to spend more time with his family. Pelley further stated that he thinks that Wright may raise the issue of the Globe and Mail article from last week at this week’s BOG meetings (the implication being that Wright may chew out the governors for leaks to the media).
