I feel bad for the Esks

I won’t say that I feel bad for the Eskimos too often but is it not ridiculous that their season opener has to go up directly against the Oilers in the Stanley Cup finals? And why, oh why is hockey still being played on June 17th? I was really hoping that Carolina would finish the Oilers off tonight but no luck on that one. It will be interesting to see what the TSN ratings are for the Esks/Stamps game on Saturday night as, ordinarily, it would be a pretty highly rated game. What will the Edmontonians on here be watching on Saturday night?

TSN’s CFL Schedule in HD

http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/feature/?fid=508

Games marked with a * are also available in HD so now we know which ones they are.

CBC will probably let everyone know what games they’re going to air in HD around December or so.

Since they only have one HD truck expect the games to be Hamilton, Toronto and Montreal. Wink

Bishop wins a Championship

If this has been mentioned, sorry for the dup thread.

Michael Bishop won a championship with the Arena League’s Chicago Rush this past weekend. The Rush beat the Orlando Predators 69-61 to complete a Pittsburgh Steeler-esque run through the playoffs (all road wins after finishing the regualr season at 7-9).

Claybourn will get kicks (Slam! Sports)

Brian Claybourn is the new punter for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers — for this week, at least. Even though Claybourn was “released” on Saturday when the team made its final cuts, head coach Doug Berry said he planned all along to have the 24-year-old Indiana native handle the punting duties.
