Wins bring on the good vibes

It’s great to be a Bomber!

theparklatejune06 1871.jpgThanks everybody for checking out my blog and your comments. It is awesome to get some positive feedback. I really appreciate it.

The locker room has been filled with good vibes over the past couple weeks (with our wins). When we play well, the guys have a positive mental attitude. A focused yet relaxed mood can open the door to a bit of goofing off and extracurricular activities.

theparklatejune06 1711.jpgHere’s a shot of Milt Stegall “hammin” up for the camera and Chris Brazell showing some patchy chest hair.

theparklatejune06 0832.jpgImagine going to work one day and having a half-naked man wearing a peach bow tie roaming around. I’m not sure what to say about this photo other than your guess is as good as mine?

legacydinner06 1151.jpglegacydinner06 1131.jpgBirthdays are usually good days. Maybe some dinner and drinks with some friends… if you’re lucky, some cake.

In Bomberland, if the guys find out it’s your B-day it’s TROUBLE. Here are a couple shots of Willy Fields covered in shaving cream when the guys in secondary found out it was his birthday.

A few of the guys have a World Cup pool going

It has definitely created a soccer buzz and some added excitement over the World Cup games. Along with the soccer buzz a soccer ball has been floating around.

theparklatejune06 1561.jpgtheparklatejune06 1331.jpgHere’s a shot of Jamie Stoddard (our team’s biggest soccer fan) and the guys kicking the ball around after practice.

When we get two days off after a game our first day back is a “long day”. With the added time to practice, it doesn’t leave much time for food, so we dip into the fine money a buy 40-plus pizzas.

more 1112.jpgHere’s a shot of Dan Goodspeed smiling ear-to-ear with his own large pepperoni and olive. I had to take the photo quick, because that pizza didn’t stand a
chance.

everything 097.thumbnail1.jpgWe are heading off to Toronto to take on the Argos this weekend.

Next week’s blog will have some shot of us on the road.

Things are getting ugly at Ticats.ca

YOu know, the Cats didn’t seem to be as bad as their record shows, but morale must be dropping…fast.

I don’t think Paopao is the coach to get the job done. A new OC, someone who knows how to win games, wouldn’t be a bad plan.

Maybe it’s just emotions running high after the loss in Montreal. However, TSN did seem to suggest Marshall was in trouble. Is he the scapegoat?

Who Hired Paopao???

His offence is bad. His offence was bad when he was with Ottawa. I can’t see that Marshall would bring him in, so who picked him as OC? He’s awful, simply can’t coach. It would be the end of Hamilton if he were to be made HC. I think they’d go the way of Ottawa.

Hamilton has the talent on the field, if they had a decent OC, they’d be fine.

And now, more deep thoughts and three dots…

Just finished watching Mtl-Ham - half of it on Westjet to Toronto - the other here in the Big Smoke and I’m thinking this…

As much as I love the guy, is there a more frustrating offence to watch than a Joe Paopao offence? The Ticats consistently throw those short outs on second and long and it’s driving me batty. I feel for Greg Marshall - Hamilton’s Greg Marshall - because the noose is tightening and I think there is some talent there…

The Ticat loss tonight leaves them at 0-4 and gives the Bombers a chance on Saturday to not only pull into a first-place tie with the Alouettes - they are now a perfect 3-0 - but put some distance between themselves and Hamilton very early in the season…

TSN’s Chris Cuthbert is as solid a play-by-play guy as there is in the biz, but one criticism of the network’s CFL telecasts: I’m a commercial nut and while I chuckled the first time I saw it, if I see that Wendy’s commercial where the guy wants to order a baked potato instead of fries - and all the other customers then freak out - I might just put my fist through the screen. It’s only Week 4 and I swear I’ve seen that commercial 1,567 times. Come to think of it, the CFL telecasts often seem to feature the same commercials over and over and over and over again…

Watching that Smart dude from Montreal continually botch fielding punts and it makes you realize how important a solid return man is. I’m still waiting for the Bombers Albert Johnson III to bust out…

In the wake of the decision by Tom Wright to step down I’m already hearing names of some possible replacements, the most notable being current Argos president Keith Pelley and Michael Copeland, who is already with the CFL as its chief operating officer…

Cheers, people.

Cats make costly mistakes

They seem to be getting better on defence and contained Mtl’s offence, but still made too many mistakes which cost them this game.

While the Cats defence looked much better their offence is hot and cold.

They did much better than I thought they would against Mtl, but they still need to be more disciplined. They should have won this game. They could win their next game if they stay focussed and keep their emotions in check and work out some of their problems.

Maas is having some problems getting things done. Maybe bring in Eakin if the losing streak continues.

The Puddy Tats vs. The Mighty Als Game Thread

OK, we all know Hamilton will be 0-4 by 10PM EST tonight. Some of you with masochistic tendencies will be watching the game; like a car accident, you just can’t look away… To borrow an old George Lucas cliché, “I have a bad feeling about this.”. Rolling Eyes
