Two steps forward - Two steps back

Where do I start? From a player’s stand point, not much can be said about that melt down on Friday night, but I’ll try.

First of all, I don’t think we went onto the field over-confident because of the way we beat Hamilton the previous game. The coaching staff and the players knew that it would be a different team from the week before. Not only because of the personnel changes, but also a change in attitude.

I will lump all three facets of the game into one, so this will be short and sweet. Throughout the game we showed sparks of nicely executed football, but never enough to get the fire started.

Offensively we had a great early drive that resulted in a major, but after that we really didn’t do much.

Defensively we got off on the wrong foot, eventually returning matters back to order, and then let them slip away again.

As for the special teams, it was a see-saw battle throughout the entire game. I think Albert Johnson did a pretty good job returning punts and kickoffs.

Well, as we enter into the ninth week of the season were not where we would like to be, but we are alot better than most outsiders and critics thought we would be.

Talk to you soon, and see at the game on Thursday. Cherish every moment, because time is something you can never get back.

God Bless
