Not pretty, but a win is a win is a win…

HAMILTON - No one will suggest videotape evidence of yesterday’s 29-22 Bomber win here will be shipped off to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

That said, while the Bombers might not be happy with the details, they have to be content with the end result yesterday — especially in the fourth quarter.

I was impressed with Kevin Glenn — on the very same day I presented how iffy his hold on the QB job was with the Bombers in the Free Press. He got it done when it mattered and, coupled with superb work by the defensive line, it was enough to beat a sad-sack Ticat squad who went down swinging.

Let’s have your thoughts on yesterday’s game here…
Cheers

Who is going to win: Hamilton and Winnipeg

Winnipeg in a close game, 10-9 perhaps, with Bomber fans disappointed by our offence once again.  Take a look here at the facts.  All team’s offensive and defensive stats up to this weekend are here.   In the CFL, although a running game mixed in well is required, the success of your passing game seems to be the key factor to success.

And while I’m here, what is the big deal with Charles Roberts talking retiring.  We want players who want to play here, and play hard, while being good teammates, and if we can’t find a running back to fit in and be productive as every club has been able to do, we don’t know how to recruit.

Hey, we’re in the playoffs and in any one game, anything can happen, if our players bring their A game and we get a few breaks or momentum generators..  So a Grey Cup appearance still sits out here on the prairie horizon waiting to be grabbed by this team.  However, they have lost far more than they have won in the last half of the season, so it’s the right time to get off that track.
