It seems like the list of Blue Bomber QB prospects is forever shrinking.
We just found out Gino Guidugli  the former University of Cincinnati star we suggested the Bombers are chasing  has just signed with the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europa.
He’s a guy who was out of football last year but still had the itch to play and the lure of Europe  where NFL coaches and scouts are forever monitoring the talent  was greater than the desire to play in Canada.
The Bombers still have roughly 18 QBs on their 35-man neg list and will have to keep searching for help behind Kevin Glenn and Justin Holland.

Interesting hire earlier this week by Doug Berry with the addition of Kit Cartwright as his offensive co-ordinator. A lot of folks are pointing at the glaring hole on his list of credentials - no CFL experience - but in a league that is forever recycling coaches, this might be a good hire. Bottom line: Berry has enough credibility after what he did last year to have most observers give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Besides, Cartwright will essentially be running the offence Berry developed. We’ll see how long the patience last into the season if the Bombers struggle to score points.

Finally, I must tell you that a couple weekends ago when I was in Calgary covering speedskating I saw a piece in The Calgary Herald raving about the work of the lead actor in a production called ‘Jesus Took the ‘A’ Train.’ The lead actor was Khari Jones. Out of curiousity I went to the final showing and folks, he was spectacular. In fact, Jones absolutely stole the show.
