Live from Women’s Hockey… a football update…
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have an interest in veteran Canadian O-lineman Bobby Singh, officially released by the B.C. Lions this afternoon.
GM Brendan Taman said the club has already spoken with his agent and it’s believed Winnipeg is one of four teams interested, including Toronto, Edmonton and possibly Calgary.
A steady, though often-injured vet, Singh would give the Bombers even more depth at the guard position  although it’s hard to imagine his addition wouldn’t come at the expense of another O-lineman as the team already signed Andrew Greene this winter. And while this is purely speculation, you can bet both Val St. Germain and Matt Sheridan would be nervous at the Bombers’ interest in Singh.
And while the club has kept low profile this week during the women’s worlds, expect them to formally announce next week the return of free agent-QB Brad Banks and linebacker Ike Charlton.
