(CP) - The CFL has had a change of heart.
The CFL will now honour Winnipeg slotback Milt Stegall on the field when the Blue Bombers star scores his league-record 138th career touchdown.
On Wednesday, the league said if Stegall scored the historic touchdown Thursday night in Winnipeg’s home game against the Montreal Alouettes, it would first be announced on the public address system before a video tribute was played.
However, the game would not be stopped so that both CFL commissioner Mark Cohon and the Bombers could formally honour Stegall. Read more
