The Ryan Dinwiddie Page

Dinwiddie starts his first CFL game on the biggest stage of all, the 2007 Grey Cup.

Firstly many don’t even know how to spell the name. My bad too. I had him as a “Dinwoodie” earlier this year. It was in an article that a winning program needs depth and players that can fill in almost seamlessly. Dinwiddie looked fine yesterday. He gave Bomber supporters some warm feelings about possibilities this week, and not utter despair. The team and community needs to rally behind him. No misunderstanding, I’m a glass half full guy always. I do ask though, who is Dinwiddie’s backup. Kliff Kingsbury I believe?

You only get to the Grey Cup every so often in a competitive league. A loss will hurt, even though we already have a built in excuse. I hope the players and coaches don’t take that route. The 2007 Grey Cup can be Dinwiddies coming out party, with the right game plan. Then again it could be something a lot less for a very inexperienced CFL quarterback. Ah for the days of Clements and Burgess, Dunigan and Hufnagel.

Dinwiddie has a fine NCAA high pressure pedigree, including one Bowl game, but little to show at the pro level.
