Golf’s numbers haven’t increased despite the popularity of Woods (Home News Tribune)

With his victory in the 1997 Masters Tournament — still the most watched golf tournament ever — by a record margin and with a record score, 21-year-old Tiger Woods was supposed to change the landscape not only of golf, but of the globe.
