Tiger’s 1997 victory set standard for all of golf (USA Today)

Almost 50 years to the day after Jackie Robinson broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier, Tiger Woods shattered a similar obstruction when he humbled the best golfers in the world and destroyed the eminent, arduous Augusta National in his record-crushing win in the 1997 Masters.
