As the ball rolled, it was obvious that I’d struck it too hard, and it was going to hit the flagstick lying on the ground. Seeing this, my buddy Jeff lifted the flagstick and the ball passed. Greg, another friend of mine, who plays more than both of us, said that Jeff actually received a penalty. Was this correct?
