Some 3,500 Rochester school children took their school projects to the beach Friday, and planted them. The kids have been growing flower and vegetable plants for several months now. They planted them at Ontario Beach Park. The garden is located just beyond the beachhouse.

It’s a field of dreams come true in the Town of Sweden, in honor of a baseball legend. The town opened its first regulation size baseball field Saturday, named in honor of Ed Nietopski. Nietopski played baseball with the Boston Red Sox , the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinnati Reds.
