3:08 p.m. — Merritt advances in U.S. Open qualifying (The Idaho Statesman)

Former Boise State golfer Troy Merritt shot a 4-under-par 68 on Monday at Falcon Crest Golf Club to win the local qualifier for the U.S. Open. Merritt advances to sectional qualifying in Columbus, Ohio, next month, the final qualifying stage for the Open.
