I happened to be looking to reading an older UTNE magazine (November-December 2004) and this book was referenced under a sidebar piece called "7 Essential Questions For Getting Closer". I'll quickly retype as I doubt whether this is available anywhere online. I personally don't subscribe to the notion that you select your ideal mate on the basis of a few questions, but the discussion will be illuminating and helpful in understanding your potential and perhaps your future life partner.

Open discussion of any kind (the deeper sharing) is always helpful to achieving mental intimacy. Or you can do the physical intimacy thing first and start talking about these kinds of questions while naked. If you can't get some soul connection and deeper sharing then with nothing left to hide behind, punt quick, ie for those of you that know football, "quick kick".

I remember a lot of early dates along the way and how differently we handled them. My observation: if someone is into you, you'll know it and feel it. There will be almost desperation on either side to get another meetup setup because one or both of you are already "so into that person". The laws of physical attraction require this. Early dating with a great future is not that cerebral, except for those who think mating up is cerebral, and for those kind of situations, it's just hit or miss if something might develop. You might as well start thinking of dating others as well at the same time already. Well, that's just my two cents.
